Roy L. Martin

Roy Lee Martin, 69, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 12, 2026. Roy was born on February 6, 1957, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Daniel and Rosemary Martin.

He was a warm and friendly man who had a natural way of getting along with everyone he met. Roy had a wonderful sense of humor and was known for making others laugh. Roy enjoyed the simple things that made life special. He loved fishing, traveling, spending time with his family, and being outdoors. Above all, he cherished the time he shared with those he loved and the memories made along the way.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Rosemary Martin.

He is survived by his loving wife, Rosa Martin of Blue Springs, Missouri; his three daughters, Stacy Martin-Porter (Clark) of Stevensville, Maryland; Tonja Craig (Brandon); and Sheryl Reynolds of Columbia, North Carolina; his six grandchildren, Danielle Martin, Trevor Martin, Jason Martin II, Quinton Reynolds, Brendon Reynolds, and Cameron Reynolds; and his two great-grandsons, Connor and Achilles Martin.

He is also survived by his two sisters, Kathy Abbott (Terry), and Judy Greer (Jerry) of Chillicothe, Missouri; his four brothers, Mickey Martin (Mona), Jay Davis (Margaret), Harold Martin (Beth) of Independence, Missouri, and Danny Martin (Ruchie) of Independence, Missouri; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Roy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His friendly spirit, humor, love of the outdoors, and devotion to his family will remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to share their lives with him.
