Robert L. Eidson
Robert “Bobby” Leroy Eidson, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away in the late evening of October 16, 2026, at the age of 68.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Royer’s New Salem Funeral Home in Independence, Missouri, followed by the funeral service at 3:00 p.m. Burial will follow at New Salem Cemetery.
One of seven children, Bobby shared a lifelong family connection that will be cherished by those who knew and loved him. Bobby was a beloved son, brother and uncle who will be remembered for his unforgettable laugh, love for his family, generous heart and willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He loved dancing, spending time around Harleys and attending motorcycle shows. He was proud of the years he spent working as a roofer and took pride in his work. Bobby also had a well-known sweet tooth and especially loved his ice cream or just about anything sweet.
Those who knew Bobby will always remember one of his favorite sayings, “Believe that!” — a phrase he would say with a long laugh to follow. That familiar expression, along with his unmistakable laughter, will forever bring smiles to the faces of those who loved him.
Bobby is survived by his sisters, Connie Carlson, Debra Dodd and Tracie Holcomb; his brothers, Randy Eidson, Jerry Eidson and Wayne Winters “Little Guy”; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bobby was preceded in death by his mother, Dottie Eidson; his father, Henry Dike; his stepfather, Wayne Winters Sr.; his grandmother, Effie Mae Eidson; and his grandfather, Fred Eidson.
