Mary L. Buchanan

Mary Lou (Sifford) Buchanan, 98, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 28, 2023, in her home.  A private family ceremony will be held in honor and celebration of her life.

Mary Lou was born in Springfield, Missouri, in 1925, to Paul and Cecille (McGoldrick) Sifford.  She was a devoted Christian and a longtime member of Blue Springs First Christian Church.

Mary Lou was preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Buchanan; son, Charles P. Buchanan; and grandson, Brian Buchanan.

She is survived by her loving son, Douglas Buchanan (Cynthia); adored grandchildren: Sunny Ridings (David), Dakota Buchanan (Emily), Charly Whittaker (Drew), and Kim Buchanan; and great-grandchildren: Emma Buchanan, Douglas Buchanan, Lizzy Ridings, and Bonnie Sue Buchanan.
