Johnnie Dale Meyer, 71, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday September 17, 2026. Services will be held on Friday, September 25th at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Concordia, MO, with visitation at 9:30 a.m. and memorial at 10:30 a.m., followed by an inurnment in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Concordia Lion’s Club or St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery.
Johnnie was born on July 11, 1955, in Warrensburg, Missouri, to Emil W. and Betty Jean (Luebbert) Meyer. He worked at Alewel’s Meat Processing out of high school as a meat cutter and later as a truck driver delivering meat thru several states; later working for the Kretchmar company when they bought it from Alewel’s. Next, he drove for Lafayette Truck and Tractor hauling bumpers from St. Louis to KC Ford plant. He switched to Schelp and Schelp as a milk and cheese hauler delivering to several states, then his last job was with Schelp trucking hauling milk and gravel.
Johnnie was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers: Edward, Gary and Larry (twins), and Lee; 1 sister, Dawn Sayer; and brother-in-law, Terry Sayer.
He is survived by 3 brothers: Steve Meyer of Boliver, MO; Danny Meyer (Frances) of Richmond, MO, and Scott Meyer of Concordia, MO; 1 sister, Kelly Meyer of Concordia, MO; and several nieces and nephews, along with other family and friends.
