Evelyn was born on August 16, 1941, to Floyd and Opal Johnson and grew up in Oak Grove, Missouri. It was there that she met the love of her life, Tony Taloney. The two were married on July 29, 1959, and went on to build a beautiful life together, raising three children and creating countless cherished memories.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Evelyn dedicated her life to her family as a homemaker. She was always taking care of those around her, whether it was preparing a home-cooked meal, bringing the family together for holidays, or simply making sure everyone had what they needed. She especially cherished the years she spent caring for her granddaughter, Madeline, when she was young, creating memories that would last a lifetime.

Evelyn also enjoyed shopping and had a particular love for purses. She and Tony shared a love for traveling and enjoyed many memorable vacations together, including trips to Hawaii, the Bahamas, and other tropical destinations throughout the years. Above all, Evelyn found her greatest joy in her family and the time they spent together.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Tony Taloney; her son, Anthony Taloney; and her parents, Floyd and Opal Johnson.

She is survived by her son, Greg Taloney (Candy); daughter, Connie Barrett (Wes); granddaughters, Madeline Taloney Owen (Brett) and Leah Barrett (Connor); grandson, Kane Barrett; and great-granddaughters, Luciana Taloney Owen and Meralee Dunn.

In accordance with Evelyn’s wishes, no funeral services will be held. Her family will honor her memory with a private gathering at a later date to scatter her ashes alongside those of her beloved husband, Tony, and son, Anthony.
