Gary V. Bader

Gary Victor Bader, 85, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2026.

Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Gary spent most of his life in Phoenix, Arizona, before settling in Odessa, Missouri, for his final years.

Gary was a skilled auto body man who took pride in his craft. He had a lifelong love of country music and was once mistaken for Waylon Jennings. He also had a fascination with trains and spent years cataloging them.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marlene Bader. He is survived by his son, Jim Bader; daughters, Tammy Arnold and Vicky Baur; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service celebrating Gary’s life will be held on Friday, October 23, 2026, at Royer Funeral Home in Oak Grove, Missouri, with visitation at 1:00pm and funeral at 2:00pm, followed by burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Gary will be lovingly remembered by his family and all who knew him.
